KPSA Charitable Fund
Introduction
The King's Park Sports Association (KPSA) was formed to advise on the management of the sports grounds and ancillary facilities at the King’s Park Sports Ground on Wylie Road.
The ground provides three high-quality all-weather artificial turf pitches, which accommodate regular rugby, football and softball training and competitions organized by member clubs. The ground can also accommodate a range of uses by other associations, as well as by schools, charitable organisations and members of the general public.
King’s Park has never been intended for use solely by KPSA member clubs, and booking fees have been maintained at a level comparable to those charged for public pitches. King's Park is a community ground and welcomes everyone.
Objective
To form partnerships with local community charities to give children the chance to learn and play sports in order to offer opportunities for physical exercise, and to help children develop social and communication skills, team work and the use of English as a second or third language.
The Charity
In 2015 the KPSA decided to set up the KPSA Charitable Fund with the aim of giving children from the local community the chance to change their lives through taking part in sport. The fund will be used to give children introduced by partner KPSA Charities opportunities to learn and play sports at King’s Park.
